Rawdon Elementary School Fair

Last Saturday I did my first fair in 8 years! I have to admit I was a little timid at first and felt like a bundle of nerves but after that it went great.

It was at the Rawdon Elementary School Fair in Rawdon. It was just a short market of 4 hours with a lot of other activities going on. All in support of fundraising for next years activities for the school. The table fee was low and it was a very relaxed environment. It was a gorgeous day so it was a bit slow but overall it was a nice experience. I will definitely be at next years event.

The best part was how friendly all the other vendors and the fair goers were. It was fun to chat with everyone and get to know some new people. We are moving to that village soon so it was a good opportunity to meet some local people and get a feel for the area. I'm really hoping to participate in more events locally in the future.

My next fair is at the end of June. It will be a larger event so I am happy I was able to get my feet wet with this one. I'm already rethinking my table layout and getting an idea on which products to stock up on. I can't wait!

If you know of any fairs or markets happening in the Lanaudiere region of Quebec leave me a note. I'd love to participate. I know I'm late for this year but I'm already formulating a list for next year. I'm hooked!!

Are you an artisan? Do you do a lot of markets? Have any advice for newcomers?
